Join the Office of the Secretary of State at PAX West this weekend!

OLYMPIA – The Office of the Secretary of State will be at the PAX West convention, Friday, Sept. 4 – Monday, Sept. 7, at the Seattle Convention Center.  

Come to Booth 134 in the Arch Building to learn more about how our office supports Washingtonians through libraries, corporations and charities, civic engagement and elections, preservation of state history and artifacts in the State Archives, and statewide programs like the Address Confidentiality Program, Productivity Board, and Combined Fund Drive.  

During your visit, stop by our table and make sure to pick up free goodies, including a limited-edition pin of Finn the Seal, the office mascot, and a Finn D20 die.  

On Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Leaf Theatre, Secretary of State Steve Hobbs and employees of the Washington State Library will participate in the Bookshelves and Battlemaps: TTRPGs in Libraries panel discussion. Hear from Secretary Hobbs, Washington librarians, and game-based learning advocates on their experiences introducing tabletop role-playing games in libraries and what it took to make the initiative a reality.
