We begin by remembering every life lost to violence—and by choosing what comes next. From September 11 to September 21, we transform remembrance into eleven days of courageous action for peace.

SEATTLE, WA, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- At a time when many people feel both hopeful and deeply concerned about artificial intelligence, 11 Days to Prove Peace Is Possible is inviting humanity to explore a defining question:

Can we develop the wisdom, moral courage, and cooperation needed to put our growing intelligence to good use?

The global compassion challenge will take place September 11–21, 2026, beginning with a remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, and culminating on the United Nations International Day of Peace.

The opening remembrance will honor those who lost their lives, those who responded with courage, and all who continue to suffer from violence and war. It will also create a space for people to come together across differences and transform remembrance into a renewed commitment to peace.

A Defining Moment for Humanity
Artificial intelligence is increasing humanity’s power faster than humanity is increasing its wisdom. Many people are struggling to understand what AI is, how quickly it is changing, and whether it will ultimately serve humanity or cause greater harm.

These concerns are real. AI is already influencing how we communicate, learn, work, govern, wage war, and understand the world. Yet the deepest challenge is not technological alone. It is human.

Will we use these capabilities to deepen fear, division, domination, and violence? Or can we learn to direct intelligence—human and artificial—toward protecting life and creating a future in which all can flourish?

11 Days to Prove Peace Is Possible offers a living experiment in answering that question.

Rather than waiting for technology companies, governments, or experts to determine the future on their own, the initiative invites individuals, communities, peacebuilders, humanitarian organizations, civic leaders, educators, young people, technologists, and teams worldwide to participate.

Together, we will explore how AI can help people find one another, recognize patterns, share knowledge, strengthen cooperation, and make effective peacebuilding efforts more visible, connected, and consequential.

Peace in Every Direction
Participants will pursue Peace in Every Direction:
* Inside Out: Developing the inner capacity to pause, listen, and choose a humane response.
* Bottom Up: Mobilizing people and communities to take compassionate action.
* Top Down: Engaging leaders and institutions with the authority to prevent violence and advance peace.
* Outside In: Centering affected communities, humanitarian organizations, and people closest to conflict.

Throughout the 11 days, participants will undertake practical missions, convene conversations, share stories, produce collaborative media, and contribute what they are learning to a growing Peace Intelligence Commons.

Daily Peace in Progress reports will help make peacebuilding visible by highlighting promising actions, emerging connections, and lessons from communities around the world.

Becoming a System of Care
The initiative asks participants to move beyond isolated acts of concern and discover what becomes possible when people and organizations begin functioning together as a system of care.

A system of care emerges when we recognize our interdependence, connect our contributions, share what we are learning, and place the well-being of the whole—especially the safety and future of children—at the center of our decisions.

The goal is to demonstrate that, together, we can become a system of care capable of fulfilling four essential commitments:
Protect life. Care for one another. Restore the Earth. Ensure that intelligence—human and artificial—serves the flourishing of the whole.

An Invitation to Participate
Organizations and individuals everywhere are invited to contribute their own peacebuilding missions, gatherings, broadcasts, acts of compassion, and collaborative experiments.

The 11 days begin in remembrance and culminate in a global commitment to peace. They offer people everywhere an opportunity to move beyond fear or passive concern and help shape how intelligence is used in service to humanity and the living Earth.

The challenge before us is not simply whether AI will become more powerful. It is whether humanity will become wise enough, courageous enough, and caring enough to steward that power.
