Be the Light: Join Seattle Parks and Recreation for Week Without Violence

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) invites the community to participate in Week Without Violence, a week of activities dedicated to raising awareness about violence prevention, uplifting youth voices, and fostering safer, more connected communities.

This year’s theme, “Be the Light,” highlights the power of individuals and communities to inspire positive change and the importance of creating opportunities for youth to grow, shine, and make a meaningful difference in their communities.

Join us on Friday, October 23, from 6:30-10:30 PM at Rainier Beach Community Center. The event will conclude this year’s Week Without Violence activities by recognizing young people who are leading by example and doing their part to promote peace, nonviolence, and community care.

Youth ages 13–19 are invited to enjoy great giveaways, an arts showcase, get creative in a pop-up arts studio, a free meal, and connect with community.

Participate in Week Without Violence events happening at community centers across Seattle. For additional details on events please contact the community center.
